Atkinson Parade of Lights set for Nov. 27

The Atkinson Parade of Lights parade will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 27 in downtown Atkinson. The Atkinson Fire Department will be bring Santa Claus to main square with goodie bags for the kids. Other activities include:

  • 3-6 p.m. Sandhills Wellness LLC will have an open house with numerous vendors.
  • 4 p.m. - Hay rides at the Senior Center by Kloppenborgs.
  • 4:30-7 p.m. - The altar society will be doing their soup supper at the KC Hall.
  • Juju Bean Coffee will be downtown with free hot chocolate. Also selling their delicious drinks.
  • Snowman Building Contest - (pending snow) to be built downtown in front of businesses. Call Vicki Seger to enter the contest - 402-340-2154.
  • 5:30 p.m. Ball drop downtown. 
  • 5:30 p.m. - Main Square Christmas Caroling with Erik Olson. 
  • We welcome everyone to make a float for the parade. Participants are asked to be at St. Joseph Catholic Church by 5 p.m.
