2023 Memorial Day Program
Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe Atkinson Memorial Day Program will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, May 29 at Woodlawn Cemetery.
Colors will be posted by Legion Post #86, Legion Auxiliary Unit #86, Sons of the American Legion Post #86, and American Legion Riders Post #86.
The Introduction will be given by Commander Gerry Bouska. Invocation will be led by Pastor Leif Hasskari.
Braydon Olson will present Lincoln's Gettysburg Address and Trayton Olson will present "In Flanders Field" by John McCrae. Both are sons of Rhonda and Corporal Ryan Olson, U.S. Army Reserves,
The American Legion Post #86 Honor Guard will present the Miliary Salute (Three Riffle Volleys), and TAPS (remove hats).
Commanders Final will be presented by Commander Bouska and Pastor Hasskarl will end the ceremony with the Benediction.
A potluck will be hosted at the Legion after the program.
