The Atkinson Area Chamber of Commerce elected new leadership during its regular meeting on Jan. 12 at the Flat Iron Bar & Grill.

The new officers include President Alyssa Reiman, Vice President Perry Winner, and Secretary/Treasurer Keyanna Fix.

The new officers replaced longtime volunteers Pam Winer who has served as the president or co-president for more than 10 years and Lou Ann Tooker who served as the secretary/treasurer for more than 10 years.

“I am very excited and thrilled that we have younger community members that have stepped up to fill these important roles in our community,” said Pam Winer. “I ask that all chamber and community members show some grace to our new - and young - officers as new leadership transitions take place.”

Alyssa Reiman
Reiman is 23 years old and is originally from Butte but has lived in Atkinson most of her life. She attended Joseph’s College of Cosmetology in Norfolk. Reiman is currently employed as a teller at First Interstate Bank in Atkinson.

She is currently engaged to Dylan Oligmueller and their wedding is set for April of this year. They have two cats, two dogs and three chickens.

“I love the farm life. You can catch me taking care of our livestock and playing with the dogs,” she said. “My dream one day is to live outside of Atkinson and own lots of chickens!”

Reiman also loves to travel with her fiancé. When she isn’t on the go, she loves to spend time with their family and friends.

“The reason I wish to become the president of the chamber of commerce is it allows me to invest in my community. It will help me learn a new skillset and grow as a leader,” she said.

Reiman said her favorite thing about Atkinson is how clean and upkept the town is as well as how hardworking and friendly the people in town are.

Perry Winer
Winer is 23 years old and is a native of Atkinson. He has been enlisted in the U.S. National Guard since 2022. He is a graduate of West Holt Public Schools and Mitchell Technical College in Mitchell, SD. He currently works as a sales representative at Viaero Wireless in Atkinson.

His family includes his parents Chris and Pam Winer and his sisters Ashley and Miley. He also has a dog named Huk.

“I want to serve on the chamber to be more active in the community and to get the younger generation more involved,” Winer said. “I also recently joined the Atkinson Lions Club.”

Winer is an outdoorsman and likes to go hiking, hunting, and fishing.

“My favorite thing about Atkinson is the people and how we all work together to make our community better!” he said.

Keyanna Fix
Fix is 27 years old and moved to Atkinson in 2016. She and her husband Blaine bought their first home in August 2022. They have two dachshunds Hazel and Lola as well as some cows.

“My favorite thing about Atkinson is how friendly and welcoming of a place it is to live. I like how easygoing the locals are!” she said.

Originally from Bassett, Fix attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk and studied accounting. She is currently employed as a teller at First Interstate Bank in Atkinson.

“I love cows especially longhorns. I also love watching Husker Volleyball,” she said.

Fix and her husband also enjoy the outdoors and recreational shooting.

“I want to serve on the chamber to show my appreciation to Atkinson, contribute to the growth of our community and support our local town,” she said.
