Atkinson Fire & Rescue To Resume Sounding Fire Whistles For All Fire & Rescue Emergencies

The Atkinson Fire & Rescue would like to notify the citizens of Atkinson that beginning the week of April 10, it will resume sounding the fire whistles for all fire and rescue emergencies involving our fire engines and ambulances.
The department ask citizens to be aware that when the sirens are sounding, volunteers will be making their way to the fire hall to respond to the emergency situation.
Please help the department out by moving your own vehicle over to allow for emergency vehicles to safely pass.
And for everyone's safety, the department kindly ask that you refrain from following emergency vehicles to the scene.
